Churches Wernigerode

Living history

Cordial invitation

to the churches of Wernigerode

Churches can tell many a story from the history of a town. They are often some of the oldest buildings in a town, as is the case in Wernigerode. These include St Sylvestri's Church behind the town hall, St Mary's Church at the transition from the old town to the Hasserode district, St John's Church in the new town and the castle church in Wernigerode Castle.

In addition to all the history and the past, they are also full of life today, full of future and hope, because people celebrate services and live communities there, and sometimes an old church building also becomes a concert hall.
