Hiking in and around Wernigerode

Hiking has a new, cool image. Routes that offer rewards such as a hearty snack, a breathtaking panorama or a stamp from the Harz hiking pin are particularly popular.

Harz hiking pin

Become the Harz Hiking Queen or Hiking Emperor

We in the Harz Mountains are in stamp fever! When we walk through nature, we don't count the kilometres, but the number of stamps that can be collected along the way. Spread throughout the Harz Mountains, 222 Harzer Wandernadel stamping points are waiting to be visited and regularly fuel our addiction to the outdoors.

This unique project connects the Harz region across state borders and makes hiking an experience. In the vicinity of Wernigerode alone, you can already stamp 23 times. What does it take
for this? A stamp pass, comfortable shoes and a good sense of smell. One holiday will probably not be enough to collect all the stamps. Because that would be really exhausting. And there would be no time for all the other highlights waiting to be discovered.
