Located directly at the central car park "Anger/ Schloss", the Wernigerode Castle Railway is the ideal starting point for your excursion. During the journey to Wernigerode Castle® you can enjoy the charm of Wernigerode in peace and quiet and our drivers will inform you about the numerous sights, such as the castle, town hall, Harz narrow-gauge railway, Western Gate Tower, Christianental Wildlife Park and other historic buildings! Tour groups of up to 200 people are welcome to take advantage of our services, such as pick-up from restaurants, car parks and places of interest.

The Harzkristall glass manufactory in Derenburg is one of the last glassworks still in production in Germany.
The heart of our manufactory is the manual production in the glassworks and in the show workshop. The symbiosis of the experience tour, the shopping worlds, our café, the adventure playground and our glassworks garden offers our guests a unique experience of knowledge transfer, adventure, relaxation, fun and culinary enjoyment all in one place.

As one of the biggest tourist attractions in the region, Harzer Schmalspurbahnen GmbH (HSB) operates a unique railway network. The network, which is primarily operated by steam locomotives, has a total length of 140.4 kilometres and a gauge of 1000 mm, opening up the Harz mountains. From Wernigerode, there are several daily journeys at a leisurely pace uphill towards the Brocken - at 1,142 metres, northern Germany's highest peak. On a clear day, you can enjoy a fantastic view from up here as far as the foothills. Climb aboard our historic carriages and experience a journey back in time.

The Bürger- und Miniaturenpark is a perfect destination for groups. One of the most beautiful miniature parks in Germany shows more than 60 Harz sights in a fascinating miniature landscape with dwarf trees, rocks and watercourses. Between the models, the Harz narrow-gauge railway snakes its way up to the Brocken. A subsequent visit to the Bürgerpark with its more than 60 themed gardens, playgrounds, adventure tower, picnic areas, animal enclosure and wonderful views of the Harz landscape round off the visit.

Welcome to "Biggis Jodlerstübchen"! The Linde-Schmidt family stands for quality at fair prices and would like to offer their guests a special service. A unique view for the walk in between, a playground & animal enclosure for the children are just some of the details that take this into account. The owner of the house loves to sing and is known in the Harz Mountains as a multiple yodelling champion. She likes to surprise her guests with a little yodelling interlude or invites them on a musical hike through the Harz Mountains.

Café Argenta "GenussMomente" is located in the main building of the former chocolate factory, with a beautiful outdoor terrace and balcony seating, and offers its guests fresh, healthy cuisine and a varied and tasty selection of coffee, drinks and cakes. With now historical reference to the house, chocolate will run through our offers in variations. Let us surprise you! Hikers can get their stamp for the coveted hiking pin at the new bridge behind the residential park. There is a play corner for children in the café.
