The Tourist Information Centre can be reached from the main entrance (Marktplatz) via a few steps and a historic foyer.

Guests with reduced mobility can reach us by lift via the side entrance in Marktstraße.

As the Tourist Information Office is located in the traffic-calmed old town centre, it is not possible to drive directly to us by car.

Please use the car parks along Marktstraße (subject to charges) or the ‘Marktstraße / Schöne Ecke’ car park (subject to charges).

From there you can reach us in about 5 minutes on foot.
 

There is a disabled toilet in the entrance area of the Tourist Information Centre, which can be opened with a Euro key. The toilet can be reached via the lift. More information on the toilet facilities can be found in the report of the ‘Travelling for All’ initiative.

The public toilets are not located directly in our rooms, but behind the town hall, opposite the entrance to the Travel Charme Hotel ‘Gothisches Haus’.

You can pick up a free city map (monthly tips) from the Tourist Information Centre during opening hours.

A tactile city map for visually impaired visitors is located in front of the entrance door to the Tourist Information Centre on the market square.

In our displays you will find brochures about your stay in Wernigerode and the Harz Mountains.
You can download many brochures free of charge from our online brochure kiosk.
We will be happy to send you brochures on request.

Literature about Wernigerode and the Harz Mountains, hiking and cycling maps and souvenirs are available in our online shop or at the Tourist Information Centre.

We have a small relaxation area with a cosy couch for our guests.

There you can study our materials and displays in peace and quiet.

You can pay for goods purchased at our Tourist Information Centre by cash, EC card or credit card (VISA, MasterCard).

Invoicing is possible in our dispatch service. Tickets ordered from us for dispatch will be sent by prepayment.

Guests can use a touchscreen to view information such as the current timetables for the Harz narrow-gauge railway or the weather situation on the Brocken.

Our tourist information centre has a bicycle repair kit with a repair kit and an air pump for all cyclists.

We also provide information about bicycle repair workshops and offer various maps for cyclists in our shop.

You can charge your smartphone safely and conveniently at the Tourist Information Centre.

We have a lockable charging station available. Charge your phone while you stroll through the city.
