How do I get to the KiK in Wernigerode?
Location
The Harzer Kultur- & Kongresszentrum Wernigerode is located just a few minutes from the market square. It is bordered by Pfarrstraße and Albert-Bartels-Straße (entrance) and is integrated into the Harzer Kultur- & Kongress- Hotel Wernigerode.

The town centre is approx. 0.2 km and the train station approx. 0.5 km from the venue.
How to find us
If you are travelling from outside Wernigerode via the A36, please take the ‘Zentrum Wernigerode’ exit. Always drive towards the centre. When you pass the ‘Hist. Altstadt / Schloss’ car park, please take the 2nd exit at the roundabout towards the centre. At the next roundabout (Roseninsel), please take the 3rd exit towards the centre. Pass the fire station and turn left into the next street (Albert-Bartels-Str.).
After approx. 300 metres you will reach the ‘KiK’.
If you are travelling from the south (Harz), take Nöschenröder Straße in the direction of the centre, Johann-Sebastian-Bach-Str. until you reach the Westerntorturm. Before the ‘big’ Westerntor junction, turn right into the street ‘Unter den Zindeln’. At the roundabout (Heltauer Platz) take the second exit. You will reach the ‘Zentrum’ multi-storey car park and the HKK Hotel.
You can also use the hotel or car park guidance system for orientation. Please follow the signs for ‘Parkhaus Zentrum’ or ‘HKK-Hotel’.
Car parks
Sufficient parking spaces are available directly at the Harz Culture & Congress Centre in the ‘Zentrum’ multi-storey car park. You can reach the multi-storey car park via Pfarrstraße. Please use the car park guidance system of the city of Wernigerode.
Disabled parking spaces are available in the multi-storey car park for visitors with restricted mobility. Barrier-free access to the event hall is possible from there.

Answers about an event at KiK
Admission & box office
As a rule, the box office opens one hour before the start of the event for the sale of any remaining tickets in stock. The auditorium will then also be open. Please also note the information on the respective event.
Cloakroom
A cloakroom is available for the events. It is located in the lower foyer of the Harzer Kultur- & Kongresszentrum.
Video and sound recordings
In the interest of an undisturbed performance and the personal rights of the artists, we ask you not to take any devices that can be used for video and sound recording into the auditorium.
We would also ask you to switch off your mobile phones during the performance.
Smoking
Smoking is not permitted in the entrance area or in the event hall of the Harzer Kultur- & Kongresszentrum. Please use the area in front of the entrance door.
Accessibility
The entire event area of the building is barrier-free throughout. There are no steps or thresholds to negotiate. Disabled toilets are available.
Wheelchair spaces
Wheelchair spaces are available for the events. Please contact us if you have any special requirements.
Disabled parking spaces
Disabled parking spaces are available in the ‘Zentrum’ multi-storey car park in the immediate vicinity of the Harzer Kultur- & Kongresszentrum. From there, the event hall is accessible without barriers.
