Our webcam on the plaza of the multi-storey car park shows the transition to the centre of Schierke. Via this bridge, visitors not only reach the town centre of Schierke with its spa gardens, town hall and the historic pharmacy where the Schierker Feuerstein herb was invented, but also the Schierker Feuerstein Arena with its winter and summer offers.

Schierke am Brocken, picturesquely situated at the foot of the famous Brocken, offers its visitors an unrivalled blend of nature, history and relaxation. Surrounded by dense forests, clear streams and impressive rock formations, Schierke is a true paradise for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts.
Nature and activity
The town is an ideal starting point for hikes, cycle tours and walks through the Harz National Park. The ascent to the Brocken, the highest peak in northern Germany, is particularly popular and can be reached on foot or with the historic Brocken railway. The impressive view from the summit rewards every effort and offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the Harz Mountains on a clear day.
Events and festivals
Throughout the year, Schierke hosts numerous events and festivals that attract visitors. The traditional Walpurgis Festival is particularly well known, where the locals welcome spring in historical costumes and with lots of music. The Schierke Music Summer offers culture in the spa gardens and the Schierke Feuerstein Arena has a rich programme to offer in both summer and winter.
